What is PRAZ?
The Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) controls and regulates the procurement processes of the Zimbabwean government departments, ministries and parastatals. It was created to supervise public procurement proceedings to ensure transparency, fairness, honesty, cost-effectiveness and competition.
Should I register with PRAZ?
Yes you should especially if you want to do business with government departments, ministries, parastatals or other government affiliated NGO’s. Without registering with PRAZ you can not do business with the government.
When will my documents be ready?
PRAZ Registration usually takes 2-5 working days depending on the workload at the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe department.

- Certificate of incorporation
- CR 5 (former CR 6) – list of company addresses
- CR 6 (former CR 15) list of company directors and secretaries

Can a Private Business Corporation register with PRAZ?
Yes a Private Limited Corporation can register with the Procurement Regulation Authority of Zimbabwe. They just need to provide their company registration documents i.e. Certificate of Incorporation, Statement of Incorporation. company profile and contact details.
What is PRAZ registration certificate?
A PRAZ registration certificate is issued when you register with PRAZ. It shows the category you are registered in, the name of your company, expiring date, verification code and a bar code which can be used to verify if the PRAZ certificate is authentic.
Is PRAZ registration renewable?
Yes it is renewable every year. PRAZ registration is only valid up to 31 December and you should renew it for you to be able to continue doing business with the government.
